French housing project. Although they function as a sign, I want to live in one of the houses on the roof. But, really, hierarchy prevails; must be something about France.
Three-room, concrete Japanese house with no windows, but with two dramatic light wells on the roof. Entrance is a door at the side. Darkness, starkness, bareness can be cozy. House is a light-trap and the light moves and changes from hour to hour, from day to day, from month to month. A mattress on the floor is all I would need.

New "Hill House" on Melbourne narrow lot. Solutions: placement in the old backyard; put the kids on the side in their own dorm; build a hill for solar orientation. AND enter through the kitchen.
Following up on a link to the plans for a 20 ton tree house (!), I found this suspended pod to be more interesting....We will check back when the 20 ton tree house is actually built.
